Hello. It's me again. I just wanna know honest and no bs answer. How much does it cost to do a pserver project? With custom features and systems? Along with the neccesary securities needed for the server? From custom feature and system i would say there will be a few or more.

I just wanna prepare myself here. Lol

Really hard to say without knowing what you exactly want, but dev rates are usually around 30-50$/hour if you hire privately. So depending on what custom feature you want can really range from few hundred to few thousand and more.

I think it all depends on your budget. You can get a dedicated server for 50 bucks a month and a random, relativaly stable source from here and you're on your way.
Or you can get a good dedicated for 200 bucks a month, hire somebody for 2000 bucks that implements you everything and make it custom.

Security is a headache in itself, there will never be a 100% secure Flyff P Server cause the Source is wildly available, people can and will find Exploits, just cause they can.

No way you can find someone to implement everything you want for 2000. Thats just basics maybe

I guess on a estimate would probably be around 2000-3000$ for a ”good to go” server, from there on every system you’d want could range from 200-1000$ depending on the complexity.

Idk if I’m just out wandering or this is somewhat near the costs, these are just based on my lurking around experience.

I mostly write my own systems, they might not be perfect but they get the job done without any major issues or vulnerabilities.

Main variability will be on the follwing:

1. Really it depends on the scope/compelxity and number of the "custom systems". This can drive you price up to several thousand's

2. There's also "custom" systems and custom systems. Are you looking to talk to a dev about what systems they have made already and then buy them. Or are you wanting a dev to bring to life your own ideas? I've worked on some custom features that are one-off systems that have taken multiple days to develop, tweak, stabilize and secure. These systems can be expensive on their own especially if you're paying hourly.

3. How much can you do yourself? Can you do the resource? Can you do the setup and copy publically available systems easily?

If you can do all the basics yourself: Including server setup and the "standard"/publically available systems and resource, you can save some money for your custom systems.

If money is no object you can pay for both the setup and custom systems and save yourself a headache.

I would say a rework of the upgrading system. How much would that cost?

Would really depend on a lot of variables and moving parts.

Every dev has there own prices, then u have to take into consideration how much time it could take based on what you want.

Hard for anyone to give you a straight price tbh.

Re-writing the whole upgrading system to be different from the original/current form of upgrading or just UI and small changes? If it's UI and small stuff there many released version out there.
This is mine it compliments the salvage system i've added.

Not the UI. But i would say add a different outcome. Success, Revert and Break.

Doesn’t sound that complicated too be fair, you could prob find a dev that could do for you. Taking inspiration from archeages upgrade system, something like that it definitely possible.

Ohhh... Nice. But is it possible to just level down one time when it fails? and How much does that cost?
Unfortunately im not selling it, but as a reference can say its upto 3-4 hours of modification max. So you have a reference
